Officials have made the early decision to transfer a race meeting from Warwick Farm to Randwick because of the prediction for extreme heat in Sydney's west.

The prediction for extreme heat in western Sydney has prompted officials to transfer a rare Saturday meeting at Warwick Farm to Randwick.

Temperatures are forecast to reach 43 degrees at Warwick Farm and the mid-30s at Randwick.

All races bar one are the same distances and conditions with the Benchmark 88 changed from 2110 metres to 2000.

Nominations have been left open until 3pm on Monday.
