2020 GOLDEN SLIPPER – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS

Easily the main highlight of the afternoon with this year's Group 1 Golden Slipper. Speed drawn across the track and as always expect a high pressure 1200m.

HANSEATIC (2) had his colours lowered in the Blue Diamond, however clearly no knock on that effort and the form from that Caulfield meeting has to be questionable. Six winners have since stepped out, all beaten. Plus we've already seen both Bivouac and Regal Power rebound in a big way off plain runs. Stable followed the same path with Lyre last year who ran third and confident he is a much better horse than her. Just needs even luck.

FARNAN (3) is the benchmark in Sydney and will put himself into the race from outset. Out to emulate stablemates Pierro/Vancouver in winning the Silver Slipper/Todman en route to winning the Slipper. TAGALOA (1) beat Hanseatic in the Diamond, before an eye catcher late behind Farnan last start. Has a 1.8L margin to turn around, but he can. Reisling Stakes winner DAME GISELLE (9) the next in line.
