2020 WILLIAM REID STAKES – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS

Pippie should fly across and get the front. Bivouac and Loving Gaby will want to be on their toes early to get into good spots.

BIVOUAC (9) was awesome winning the Newmarket and there is little doubt that he is the horse to beat based on that. He was flying when he came here for the Manikato in the spring only to draw barrier one and get caught up in traffic. Will want to bounce early to avoid the same fate but clearly hard to beat if he does.

LOVING GABY (11) was no match for him in the Newmarket but she took advantage of his hard luck around here in the spring and she's drawn to get a similar run this time. Must be a great chance. EXCEEDANCE (10) was well backed in the Newmarket but was never likely. More pressure up front this time and if they are making ground he's a threat. The talent is there.

GYTRASH (3) is flying and looks sure to run well again. Interesting runner is MYSTIC JOURNEY (6) back from a break. She likely needs this one at 1200m but betting can tell us more. Would be wary of her if fancied.
