Durable filly Away Game has been all over the eastern seaboard during a busy juvenile season and she keeps fronting up.

On Saturday she finished second to Farnan in the world's richest race for two-year-olds, the $3.5 million Golden Slipper at Rosehill.

That was her sixth start in a season which began with a fourth placing in the Merson Cooper Stakes in Melbourne last November and has included wins in Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Sydney.

She won the $2 million Magic Millions Classic in January and also ran a game fourth in the Group One Blue Diamond Stakes in Melbourne last month leading into the Slipper.

Her co-trainer Ciaron Maher was full of admiration for the filly after her Slipper performance.

"She was outstanding," Maher said.

"She's just a real racehorse.

"She's been everywhere. She's raced in everything and that was probably her best run to date.

"She went from Melbourne to Sydney to Brisbane to the Gold Coast to Sydney to Melbourne and has now come back to Sydney again. And she's a two-year-old."

Away Game's campaign might not be over yet, with the filly nominated for other feature juvenile races this autumn.

"She's sound. She's a neat filly. Two-year-old is her time and that was arguably her best run," Maher said.

"She held her condition really well, almost a bit too well, leading into this race which you love to see with a horse that's deep into a preparation, especially a filly."

Away Game's Slipper placing came after three-year-old stablemate Loving Gaby won the Group One William Reid Stakes in Melbourne on Friday night.
