2020 WA Oaks: Nominations

The WA Oaks is a Group 3 race for three year old fillies conducted by Perth Racing (formerly the West Australian Turf Club) at Ascot.

The WA Oaks was first run in 1953 and was won by Copper Beach.

The WA Oaks is run over 2400m under Set Weights conditions.

It was a G1 until 1991 then became G2 but was further downgraded again in 2006 to G3.

It has changed distances and was below the mile and a half in the early years. It has also been run at Belmont before.

Owner Bob Peters has had an amazing run in the race winning it ten times including the last five on the trot starting with a good one in Delicacy.

In 2020 the WA Oaks was worth $250,000.
