- Foxplay and Alizee in consecutive years ran 4th in the Vinery at Rosehill and came back in trip to win at Randwick. They were the only two fillies to win since the race was moved to Randwick.
- Funstar looks to keep that streak of Chris Waller fillies that won the Phar Lap then won a G1 in the same campaign (Verry Elleegant/Unforgotten/Foxplay – Winx also won it but couldn't win the Oaks).
