Honest mare Baccarat Baby gets the valued home track benefit for her final lead-up to the Group One Stradbroke Handicap.

Baccarat Baby has had five starts on her home Sunshine Coast track for four wins and a close second.

She will be having her final lead-up to the Group One Stradbroke in the Listed Wayne Wilson Memorial Mile on Friday.

Trainer David Vandyke pointed out Baccarat Baby was paying for her consistency at the handicaps.

Baccarat Baby had 59.5kg when second to Silvera over 1400 metres on April 25 and 60kg when second first-up at Doomben a fortnight earlier.

She drops to 57kg on Friday in the higher stakes company.

Vandyke said the drop in weight was a big help and she had a nice barrier for her racing style.

"She has done well and stepping up to 1600 metres is a nice progression,"Vandyke said.

"After this it will be three weeks into the Stradbroke."
