2020 FRED BEST CLASSIC – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS

Speed drawn across the line so looks a good battled for the lead. DAWN PASSAGE (3) is a colt on the up. Impressive when winning the Group 3 Hawkesbury Guineas by 2.8L then was too strong again when scoring over 1400m at Rosehill. Those wins have given him a 50 per cent strike rate and he is at his peak. Can complete the hat trick.

HIGHTAIL (2) has done nothing wrong in winning both outings since a spell, finishing hard to land the Group 3 Gold Coast Guineas last start. Gives the impression he will appreciate the longer distance. Danger. EXHILARATES (12) hit the line hard for a resuming third to Hightail. That was an eye-catcher and she hasn't missed a place second up. Look for her late again.

A wide draw doesn't make it easy for THE ODYSSEY (1) but he is racing in fine form and can feature again with some luck on his side. GRAND PIANO (5) must be respected after winning four of his past five.
