Here are some of the interesting statistics for the Group Races at Randwick on G1 Winx Stakes day.

G1 Winx Stakes (1400m WFA)

• First Running Warwick Stakes: 1923 (won by Sunburst).
• First Running as Winx Stakes: 2018 (won by Winx).
• Status: After being a Principal Race until grading in 1979, it was Group 2 through until 2018 when upgraded to a Group 1.
• Multiple Winners: Limerick (1927, 1928, 1929), Johnnie Jason (1931, 1932), Chatham (1933, 1934), San Domenico (1950, 1951), Tarien (1953, 1954), Sky High (1961, 1962), Gay Gauntlet (1965, 1967), Kingston Town (1980, 1981, 1982), Super Impose (1990, 1991), Filante (1996, 1997), Lonhro (2001, 2003), Pinwheel (2011, 2012), Winx (2016, 2017, 2018).

• Winx missed the start by four lengths in 2017 and yet still won in one of her most famous victories.
• Warwick (Winx) Stks/George Main Stks double (13 times) – Latest was Winx in 2018.
• Warwick (Winx) Stks/Epsom Hcp double – Filante (1996), Super Impose (1990, 1991), Sky High (1961), Chatham (1933).
• Winx's 2018 win was her 26th in a row. It broke Black Caviar's record of 25 straight.
• It has been a race of short priced winners or long priced roughies - Pablo's Pulse won the race in 1987 at 500-1. 
• From last season there is the winners of the George Ryder, Canterbury Stks, George Main, Toorak/Cantala, Epsom/Golden Eagle, Tancred Stks, Empire Rose (+3 in NZ), Coolmore Classic/Queen Of The Turf, Thousand Guineas. That is 9 x individual G1 winners entered (with Funstar out).
• 2/3rd of the field are first up here.

• Conditions: Set Weights & Penalties.
• The Silver Shadow Stakes is the first of the fillies Princess Series in Sydney's Spring after which the Furious Stakes, Tea Rose Stakes and Flight Stakes follow.
• Flight Stakes winners to win the Silver Shadow Stakes include Speak Fondly, Samantha Miss, Ha Ha, Angst, Triscay.
• Kerrin McEvoy has won 3 of the last 5 editions.
• No horse has started longer than 8-1 to win in the last 20 years bar Ateates in 2000.
• Dame Giselle and See You Soon renew their rivalry having finished near each other every time they've raced (five occasions).

G3 Show County Quality  (1200m 3yo+ Quality)

• Notable Winners: Deprive (2019), Le Romain (2018), Deploy (2017), Tycoon Tara (2016), Terravista (2014), Rebel Dane (2013), Moment Of Change (2012), Bank Robber (2008), Lotteria (2005), Might And Power (1997).
• Conditions: Quality Handicap.
• The race is named after a former top sprinter of the late '80s who, as a two and three year old, won numerous feature short course races.
• 1997 saw Might And Power come from a long way back to run the leader down in the last stride. He would win the Caulfield Cup and Melbourne Cup at the end of that campaign.
• Deploy began a charge to being slotted into the 2017 Everest after winning the Show County. Le Romain 12 months later would eventually gain a slot later in the piece following his win in this race.
• We find another rivalry renewed as Funstar and Probabeel take each other on for the sixth time. Funstar leads 3-2.
• Le Romain carried the same weight from the same gate in 2018.
• Only three in the last 20 years have carried more than 56kg to win (Le Romain, Primus, Lotteria).

G3 Toy Show Quality (1100m 3yo+ F&M Quality)

Notable Winners: Mizzy (2019), Pearls (2016), Amicus (2015), Dystopia (2012), Red Tracer (2011), Youhadyourwarning (2002), Joie Denise (1995).

Conditions: Quality Handicap for F&M.

The race is named after a former top filly, who won the Golden Slipper, Newmarket Handicap and 1000 Guineas amongst others.

Another race where horses relatively in the market have been successful – only one at double figures since 2001.

Sweet Deal was to start favourite in the Coolmore Classic but was scratched on the race morning.

Adelong has amazingly started at 1100m in 7 of her 8 runs.
