The Lindsay Park stable is banking on improving track conditions for their two runners at Sandown on Wednesday.

After heavy rain deluged Melbourne on the weekend, the Sandown track was posted a heavy 9 at acceptance time on Monday but had been upgraded to a heavy 8 on Tuesday.

While the weather remains fresh Lindsay Park is hopeful the rain will stay away allowing a further track upgrade before Wednesday's meeting.

Lindsay Park runs Buona Sera in the Tile Importer Handicap (1300m) and Five Kingdom in the Ladbrokes Cash In Handicap (1800m).

Buona Sera has been posted the $3.80 with TAB Fixed Odds and will line up for only her third start on Wednesday.

Co-trainer Tom Dabernig explained the filly was a late bloomer but her form had been fairly solid this preparation.

"She won on debut then just got beaten at Sandown and the horse that beat her there (Dirty Thoughts) came out and won at The Valley on Saturday," Dabernig said.

"It was rated a heavy 9 at acceptance time but it will be improving ground into Wednesday hopefully and the 1300 metres looks a nice distance for her at the moment.

"She gets Daniel Stackhouse back on after he won on her.

"It's hard to know whether she will be competitive in better three-year-old races, but after Wednesday we will know more, but her two runs to date have been pretty good."

Dabernig has concerns over the ground with Five Kingdom who failed to show his usual acceleration on wet ground at Flemington last time out.

Five Kingdom did win on soft ground at Pakenham earlier in his career, but his three other victories have all been on good ground.

Dabernig said if the track improved to a soft 6 then Five Kingdom would run on Wednesday, however he admitted to concerns if the track was any wetter.

"Ideally we would like better ground than what it is," Dabernig said.

"In that class he's got plenty of weight, but we've got Will Price on and with the claim and being down in class, he looks pretty well off."

Five Kingdom was rated an $11 chance with TAB Fixed Odds on Tuesday with last start Sandown winner Approach Discreet the $4.40 top elect.
