Group 1 winning mare Bella Vella has made her first official public appearance of the spring, winning a 1000m trial at Morphettville on Wednesday.
The Will Clarken-trained mare settled outside the lead before hitting the front on straightening and holding off Ef Troop late for a three quarter length success.

The six-year-old will resume in the Group 2 McEwen Stakes (1000m) at Moonee Valley prior to her first Group 1 assignment of the spring, the Group 1 Moir Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley on September 25.
It follows a breakout autumn campaign for the honest mare which culminated in taking out the Group 1 Robert Sangster Stakes (1200m) at Morphettville.
