2020 CONCORDE STAKES – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS
The first of four feature races with just six set to line up in this year's Group 3 Concorde Stakes. Tactics will be very interesting, but doubt they'll be able to cross Ball Of Muscle early, he leads and sets a decent tempo.
NATURE STRIP (1) makes his much anticipated return, not seen since spacing them in the TJ Smith Stakes. Pronounced favourite for The Everest and deservedly so. Has flopped at his last two first up attempts, but looks airborne at the trials and suspect Waller would have ironed out that chink. Wide draw keeps him out of trouble, clearly the one to beat.
GYTRASH (2) notably beat Nature Strip first up in the Lightning Stakes last preparation, just some query with the synthetic hoof filler going on for the first time. Talented sprinter and should keep the former honest. SPLINTEX (4) has won three of his last four and is not to be taken lightly in his return, while BALL OF MUSCLE (3) should give a bit of cheek out in front.
