2020 THE RUN TO THE ROSE – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS
Easily the main highlight of the afternoon with this year's Group 2 Run To The Rose. Tactics will be interesting, suspect Peltzer leads, with Farnan landing outside the lead. North Pacific kicks up to hold leaders back, while Rothfire lands in the 1X1.
FARNAN (1) only has the one blemish on his record, when clearly not right in the Magic Millions. Led throughout winning the Slipper and looks to be back in great order, his latest trial was very good. Looks to land outside the lead for Bowman, which isn't easy first up, but he is very good and should prove hard to beat.
NORTH PACIFIC (5) is unbeaten this time in, though faces easily his stiffest test. His only other meeting against Farnan, he had no answers, but is a much better horse now. Has a key fitness edge. Major threat. ROTHFIRE (3) won the JJ Atkins running away and he too has trialled very well and looks airborne. Drawn to lob into the right spot and has to be respected. MAMARAGAN (4) should also improve sharply second up. Big watch - great race!
