Michael Rodd is likely to get the leg-up on the Grant and Alana Williams-trained Superstorm in the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes (Gr 1, 1400m) with stablemate Showmanship also gaining a run in Saturday's feature.
The Australian Guineas and All-Star Mile runner-up finished ninth in The Heath 1100 (Listed, 1100m) first-up, but with stable rider William Pike set to partner emerging talent Showmanship, Rodd looks set to be Superstorm's new rider.
"Michael Rodd will probably ride one of them, but we might not decide until Wednesday when final jockeys are named," owner Bob Peters said.
"Superstorm will get a bit of weight and Showmanship will be on the minimum.
"Superstorm hasn't done a lot wrong and the time we gave him to mature has certainly helped."
