Nature Strip slung James McDonald out of the saddle immediately as he jumped in his trial heading toward the Everest.
McDonald was OK after the dramas while Nature Strip appeared to get through unscathed after the incident despite doing almost a lap of the Randwick course proper.
Lizzie Jelfs from Sky Racing reported McDonald hit his head on the stalls when Nature Strip reared. The horse didn't bolt as they sometimes do.
Libertini won the 850m Trial in 50.13 seconds.
Later in the afternoon, Stewards ruled Nature Strip has to trial to their satisfaction before racing again. Chris Waller will now have to fit that into the preparation as he looks to win the Everest where he is current favourite.
