After a strong win in the G3 Naturalism Stakes at Caulfield on Saturday, Orderofthegarter has been penalised 1kg for the Cups.
Racing Victoria Executive General Manager – Racing Greg Carpenter indicated with the automatic entry from winning that race he is in the Caulfield Cup but he now has to pass the ballot for the Melbourne Cup and can do so by finishing in the top eight of the Caulfield Cup.
Another recent winner eligible for re-handicapping was Mugatoo out of the Newcastle Cup but he has not had his weight changed for the Victorian Cups.
