The Gai Waterhouse/Adrian Bott stable reported the Golden Slipper winner's issues to Racing NSW stewards.

Farnan was found to have filling to its off-fore leg above the fetlock joint with an associated low grade infection. The colt is being treated with antibiotics.

Stewards said Bott had confirmed the colt had pulled up with no adverse effects from the Run to the Rose but had not worked yesterday morning following the identification of the filling in the off-fore, which is presumed to have occurred in the stable overnight.

The stable has been requested to provide stewards with an update on the colt's condition later this week.

The Waterhouse-Bott stable also told stewards that Taikomochi was found to have a lesion to its near fore suspensory after running in the Kingston Town Stakes and has been spelled.

Taikomochi will not contest The Metropolitan and wagering operators have been requested to remove the horse from the betting market.
