2020 BILL STUTT STAKES – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS
Genuine pace with Holyfield taking up the running ahead of Glenfiddich and Crown Mint. GLENFIDDICH (1) ran a cracker first up for the new stable against the older horses in a fast Memsie. Placed at Group One level over this trip when signing off as a two-year-old and looks well made for the Valley mile as he should take up a handy position in running.
As will HOLYFIELD (2) who arrives off winning the G3 Ming Dynasty Quality at Rosehill last time. Strong on pacer and this sets up really nicely. FLYING AWARD (5) returned with a really good effort to just miss in the McNeil Stakes at Caulfield. Quickly up to the mile but looks sure to relish the trip long term and expecting a nice step forward on the Guineas path tonight.
Similarly CHERRY TORTONI (4) should build on his good return. Drifted back from his wide draw and hit the line hard at Flemington over 1400m. Good winner at the mile over the winter and he's still one heading in the right direction.
