G1 Golden Rose Stakes (1400m 3yo SW)
- Notable winners (as the Golden Rose): Bivouac (2019), The Autumn Sun (2018), Trapeze Artist (2017), Astern (2016), Exosphere (2015), Hallowed Crown (2014), Zoustar (2013), Denman (2009), Forensics (2008), Paratroopers (2005), In Top Swing (2003).
- It was first run in 1978 as the Peter Pan Stakes and was won by Kapalaran.
- The race was originally named after the champion horse Peter Pan. It became the Golden Rose as a Spring follow up from the Golden Slipper in 2003.
- The 2007 race was not held due to the Equine Influenza break out. It was however transferred to be run in the Autumn of 2008. Forensics not only became the ONLY filly to win the race but also the ONLY Golden Slipper winner too.
- It was elevated to being G1 in 2009 when Denman won.
- Since becoming the Golden Rose, the Crown Lodge/Darley/Godolphin team have won the race seven times.
- Many Caulfield Guineas winners have come out of this race. For instance these 3yos ran these placings at Rosehill – The Autumn Sun (1st), Divine Prophet (4th), Press Statement (5th), Shooting To Win (3rd), Helmet (3rd), God's Own (4th), Econsul (4th), In Top Swing (1st).
- Those to do The Run To The Rose/Golden Rose double are Paratroopers, Denman, Hallowed Crown, Exosphere, Astern and Bivouac.
- The 2019 field ended up including The Everest, Coolmore Stud Stakes, Newmarket Hcp and Rosehill Guineas winners following the running of this edition.
- Wide barriers have been no hurdle even in full fields with horses able to sit wide and win.
- King's Legacy was beaten 7L in the Slipper then won the Sires second up at 1400m. He was beaten 5.5L in the Run To The Rose.

- The race was originally known as the Research Stakes named after the Dual Oaks and AJC Derby winning filly Research. It became the Golden Pendant in 2011 to maintain the Gold themed races at Rosehill.
- Mizzy won the Toy Show and Sheraco Stakes before taking the Golden Pendant in 2019.
- Last filly to win was Classy Dane in 2003.
- Noted trainers of fillies and mares have had great success – Ron Quinton has won it 4 times. Gai Waterhouse, Les Bridge and Guy Walter were also among the winning trainers through the years.
- Haut Brion Her has never finished further back then second in a race or trial. (Race career 6w/3p/9s).
- In a replay of the Sheraco Stakes (Haut Brion Her 1st, Jen Rules 2nd, Seasons 3rd, Evalina 4th, Adelong 5th, Subpoenaed 6th, Sweet Deal 9th, Positive Peace 11th, Outback Barbie 12th, Shout The Bar 16th).

- Mister Sea Wolf carried the most weight to win since those sort of quality horses eg Juggler carried 60kg in 1996.
- Prior to Noire in 2018, the last mare to win it was Lotteria in 2005.
- Only horse to do the Shannon/Epsom double was Dalmacia in 1982.
- Gai Waterhouse has been associated with six winners (Juggler/Sprint By earlier winners).
- Plenty of Queensland form to the fore in 2020.

- Ace High won the Gloaming before taking the Spring Champion Stakes and Victoria Derby at his next two outings.
- Others to do the Gloaming/Spring Champion double include Shadow Hero, Vanbrugh, Complacent, Dundeel, Fairway, Tie The Knot, Magic Of Sydney, Sir Dapper, Best Western and Kingston Town.
- Bart Cummings used the Gloaming Stakes to qualify So You Think as a G3 winner to be eligible for the Cox Plate and he would win that race too at just his fifth start.
- The only filly winner has been Constant Flight.
- In the 2020 renewal, only Easy Campese started in the stakes race at their last start – 4th in the Dulcify.
- Bucharest is out of Miss Finland – she won a Thousand Guineas Prelude on this race day back in 2006.
