RACE 3 (14) SHE'S IDEEL: Versatile staying mare has been popular with punters for some time, having starting favourite in nine of her 10 career starts and repaying them with four wins including three in succession from 1550m up to 2400m at the end of her last prep. She's unbeaten in her two previous third up starts and is set to add to that record after two strong efforts since resuming, finding herself well placed with her light weight after carrying 58kg when a close third over 1800m at this course on September 12.

RACE 4 (3) LOVE TAP: Hollow form race for a Group 3 event with the task being finding the 3YO looking for this trip with the most upside. This imposing US-bred grey by champion sire Tapit could be the one as he comes off three impressive country wins, showing classy acceleration to put big margins on his rivals in his last two starts over 1200m and 1500m at Goulburn that have stamped him as horse with untapped potential. Has to build on his figures but suspect the Freedman brothers know they have a good one and have used the country circuit to give him a solid grounding for what lies ahead. The market reflects the impression he has made in those wins.

RACE 6 (5) I AM SUPERMAN: Good track conditions are vital for this import and proved key to his excellent first-up win over 1400m at Caulfield on August 29 to kick off his second Australian campaign after failing to fire on wet surfaces in his first prep in the early autumn. The Snowden team were keen to get him into a G1 race at Caulfield last week but had this easier G2 event as the ideal fall back option after he failed to gain a start. The stable is confident he has holds plenty of scope for improvement carrying 2kg less than his Caulfield win, hoping forecast stormy weather bypasses Rosehill late on Friday.

TRIAL POINTERS

RANDWICK September 21: WILD RULER took up the running and in the open heat over 850m was not asked to respond in the last 100m when challenged by the good mare Libertini. They split the line together and put good time on the clock (50.13; 33.29) with WILD RULER having plenty in hand. He also impressed when he won a 1050m heat at Randwick on September 8, clocking the fastest of the seven trials over the trip (63.20; 34.34).

ROSEHILL September 15: KEIAI TSUBAKI, a 5YO mare with two provincial wins last year, led for a strong win in the first of the four 1030m heats (63.41; 35.02). The talented BOTTEGA impressed having a very easy time at the back of his 1030m trial. He was keen to run and should perform well fresh.
