Lindsay Park expects to have all bases covered when they saddle Aidensfield and Personal in the $1 million Thousand Guineas (1600m) at Caulfield.

The pair will tackle 12 other fillies in the Group 1 on Saturday, likely to be run on a rain-affected track.

Caulfield was rated a slow 5 when acceptances were taken for the Thousand Guineas on Tuesday while there is further rain expected later in the week.

Lindsay Park co-trainer said a soft track would not bother Aidensfield whereas a firmer surface would be more beneficial to Personal's chances.

After winning her first two starts early in winter, Aidensfield has returned to finish second in two stakes races early in the spring, each time behind Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr-trained runners who are opponents on Saturday.

Night Raid won the Listed Atlantic Jewel Stakes (1200m) at The Valley on September 5 before Odeum got the better of her in the Listed Jim Moloney Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield on September 19.

"She has been running well but has just been finding one better," Hayes said.

"The mile will really suit and she doesn't mind wet tracks which looks like we're going to get."

At the start of the spring Lindsay Park was pinning their hopes in Personal to provide a Group 1 win for the stable before the carnival switched to Flemington.

The stable has been happy with the filly's two runs, finishing fifth in the Group 2 Danehill Stakes (1200m) at Flemington on September 12 and then second to Instant Celebrity in the Group 2 Thousand Guineas Prelude (1400m) at Caulfield on September 26.

"I wouldn't be as confident if it's wet with her, but she has had a really good build up," Hayes said.

"I was thrilled with the way she stuck on and how she was through the line last time and was the last one to pull up.

"I think the mile will really suit her and she has been trained to peak for the race."

Aidensfield and Personal have drawn next to each other in barriers seven and eight respectively while the favourite Instant Celebrity is out in gate nine.

TAB pushed Instant Celebrity out from $2.80 to $3.40 following Tuesday's draw while the Chris Waller-trained Hungry Heart, second in the Group 1 Flight Stakes (1600m) at Randwick last Saturday, firmed from $7 to $4.20.

Hungry Heart will wear blinkers for the first time on Saturday.

Aidensfield and Personal also both drifted after Tuesday's draw and are now $13 chances.
