New Racing Australia Chief Executive Officer

The Racing Australia Board is pleased to announce Myles Foreman as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 October 2020.

Announcing Myles' appointment, Racing Australia Chairman Greg Nichols said: "Myles is an experienced leader with a strong track record within the organisation and the Thoroughbred Breeding and Racing Industry.
 
"Myles was chosen in a competitive selection process from a strong field of candidates. Myles is known for his collaborative leadership style and for building high performance teams," Nichols said.
 
Myles joined Racing Information Services Australia (RISA) in June 2006 in the newly created role of Chief Executive Officer. With the merger of RISA and the Australian Racing Board (ARB) in April 2015, Myles assumed the role of Operations Chief Executive Officer for newly formed Racing Australia. Since November 2019 Myles has held the role of Acting CEO for Racing Australia while the Board conducted a search to replace former CEO Barry O'Farrell.
 
Prior to 2006 Myles spent ten years at Ticketmaster in a range of roles including Operations Manager, Chief Information Officer, Operations Manager Australasia for Ticketmaster International, General Manager - ticketmaster.com.au and Head of Markets and Development for Australia and New Zealand. Prior to Ticketmaster, Myles spent seven years with Rydges Hotels & Resorts in a range of roles within hotels across Australia before moving to head office in the role of General Manager IT for the hotel group. 

Reflecting on his appointment, Myles said: "I am honoured and excited to have been selected to lead Racing Australia on the next phase of its evolution".

"No industry or sport covers the breadth of our nation like Thoroughbred Breeding and Racing. I am determined to continue to leverage the great team at Racing Australia to work collaboratively with the industry nationally to ensure we continue to advance the Australian Thoroughbred Breeding and Racing Industry". Foreman said.
