2020 CRYSTAL MILE – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS
Strong early pace as Streets Of Avalon and Chief Ironside press to the lead. HOMESMAN (1) has a good record fresh at the mile and around the Valley. Has won a Feehan first up around here and this looks a perfect option for him off the break. Think he runs well. The other established weight-for-age horse is KINGS WILL DREAM (2) who has been okay in unsuitably slow tempo races at his last couple. Think a better gallop here can suit him and his fresh run said he was back in good order.
AGE OF CHIVALRY (6) ran well in the Toorak and has a hope off that along with CHIEF IRONSIDE (8) who won this last year and should be just about right to return to his peak now which is clearly good enough. OLMEDO (4) did nothing at his lone Australian run to date but wary of him with the new yard here. Best form in France is fantastic for this.
