2020 GOLDEN EAGLE – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS

Speed drawn across the track and a solid tempo is anticipated in this year's Golden Eagle. FUNSTAR (12) is yet to win this time in, but easily brings the best form and sets up well back in trip off a nice soft trial. Following the exact same path as Kolding last year, she should relish the conditions on offer and the wide draw keeps her out of trouble. Rates top and should prove hard to beat.

ALLIGATOR BLOOD (1) didn't look at all comfortable last start, but was still only narrowly beaten in the end. This has always been his Grand Final and he looms as a major threat on best form. SIERRA SUE (16) walked in at Flemington last start and returned decent figures in the process. On an upward spiral and has to be respected with Nash aboard. COLETTE (13) hasn't been that far off the mark this time in and looks well placed back against her own age.
