Winning Trainer: Archie Alexander
"It's a fantastic week and every trainer wants to be here. I'm delighted for the owners. There's some really good owners in the horse. Bred by Three Bridges who are good friends."
Winkers on: "She's always been a little bit spooky and green. She can get pulling, like she did today. We thought the blinkers were too much, the winkers are half-way and the faster they went, the better they went. I thought at least she'll settle and flow, but you never really see a pattern coming out the way you imagine it.
"It was a great ride by Dec and it warms him up for the Cup and it's a big day for the stable."
Faith in Declan: "It's brilliant he's got a ride in the Cup and he's just got to get the job done. He deserves it."
Another race for her: "We won't make any decisions today, it's always hard on a race day, but I think we'll go to the paddock. Im leaning towards the paddock, she's not overly big and she's done a good job today."
Winning Jockey: Declan Bates
Thrill to win on Cup Day: "Exactly. It's the biggest day of the year, I've got a ride in the big one and I've got a winner on the board earlier in the day. Everything is coming together nicely so hopefully we can have a better day later.
"Really pleased to win on her today. I was actually quite confident coming here today. I thought Flemington would suit. She was too good.
"She was a bit keen going to the post and a bit keen at the last run so I decided (that) I wasn't going to worry about finding a position early. I was just going to come out, get her to relax. She was somewhat relaxed but she was still a bit keen. I was just concerned about getting her into a nice rhythm, finding room in the straight.
"She was travelling that well and then when the gaps came she put them away."
Beaten Jockeys:
James McDonald on the favourite Joviality: "That was cruel."
Noel Callow on Pride Of Jenni: "I had never ridden the horse and I spoke to the owner Tony Ottobre this morning and we had a bit of a plan like that to take the speed out of the race when we could. He said she can be a little bit firing, but her manners were very good today. We controlled it front but got nabbed.
"Ben Melham (on Ripper Rita) had me beaten at the furlong, but she fought back to beat it. It's a big question when you go from a maiden to a 58 (grade) to this grade, but she showed she's up to it."
