A short favourite is the natural one to tend to in the Tips and Race Preview for the 2020 VRC Oaks at Flemington on Thursday.

2020 VRC OAKS – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS

Star Of Eden and Tyche Goddess roll on but doubt they will be out to break any records early. Whole race hangs on MONTEFILIA (1) who did the Flight/Spring Champion double in Sydney and won them both in really fast overall times.

This won't take anywhere near as much winning as either of those races so it looks a case of her just needing to bring her form to the 2500m. If she doesn't (and plenty have failed to repeat of the Spring Champion at Flemington in the past) then the betting option is PERSONAL (2) who was terrific in the 1000 Guineas and again in a fast Wakeful. She is bred to stay the longer trip and has the talent to win a typical Oaks.

MIRAVALLE (6) warmed up nicely in that Wakeful after a solid effort in the Spring Champion. She ties it all in. TYCHE GODDESS (7) and SALTO ANGEL (5) are others to consider off solid Wakeful runs.
