2020 SANDOWN STAKES – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS
Small field but Buffalo River and Kenya both come off leading at strong tempos and should be out to make this a well run race.
KENYA (6) has clearly had his issues since coming to Australia, starting just twice in two years here, but he looks like he is up and running now and ready to reward connections for their patience. He starred around Mornington and looks up to making his mark in good races on the back of that.
BUFFALO RIVER (1) did too much in the Cantala last time. Set a really strong gallop there and peaked on the effort late. He can do better. JUNIPAL (3) also has to bounce back from last time when beaten in the Toorak. Respect that he was so well fancied there and he can run well in the right sort of race for him now. ICONOCLASM (2) did a good job to win at the Valley last time. Well suited there, and this is tougher, but respect all the same.
