Winning Trainer: Chris Waller (rep by Jo Taylor)

Confidence 600m out, last on rail: "I can't say I was confident at that stage. That's the beauty of having someone like Damien Oliver aboard. He knows the circuit so well and he rides with such confidence. When you hear Oli screaming (over) the last 200 metres, you knew you're in business.

"She certainly did it the hard way. You would imagine that she would come on from that even more. She is quite a big burly girl so keeping her fresh as much as we can and see what's next on the program for her.

"It's great to have support from owners like Mr Yoshida sending us these lovely horses. Hopefully we can keep it going."

Winning Jockey: Damien Oliver

"It was a muddling race. They sort of backed off the speed midrace. Probably not ideal for her. She's a mare that likes to get out over further and probably this track's not suitable for her. Fortunately she was able to get out wide and build some momentum which she likes.

"It was a good job by the Waller team because she doesn't have a great second-up record but keeping her fresh she did a good job. Well placed, too.

Confidence at 300m mark: "I was a bit suss when we straightened, I didn't think that we were going to get there. The closer I got to the post I knew that I was finishing strongly. I was going to be in it but I wasn't sure if I was going to get there."

On Oli roaring at the horses to the line most audible during COVID times with no crowds: "You do what you've got to do sometimes to get the job done. If it is the difference between winning and losing, I'll take it.

"Sometimes it can work against you because it can get the other horse going. You just have to take good with the bad."
