2020 GRAND PRIX STAKES – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS

Aliraaj and Toscanini have enough pace to overcome wide draws and set a decent tempo. THE ELANORA (1) has put together back-to-back wins, most recently scoring at Rosehill over 1800m after collecting the G3 Newcastle Spring Stakes. Only has to run a strong 2200m to add to his impressive recent tally.

MR GEE (5) came from a long way back on the turn to win most impressively at Hawkesbury last time out over 2000m. Will find this much tougher but he is a stayer of promise and looks certain to get this trip on his ear. DHAKURI (6) gave The Elanora a big start on the turn at Rosehill recently but powered home late to get up for third at the end of 1800m. Very fit now and looks ready to step up to a middle-distance trip for the first time.

SEE MARIE (11) has found the line with gusto at all three runs this prep in the 1400-1820m range, registering a win and two placings. Sure to prove hard to hold out.
