2021 CF ORR STAKES – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS
Solid tempo where Streets Of Avalon presses on with Sovereign Award and Crosshaven. All eyes on the return of SIR DRAGONET (2) - the Cox Plate winner who makes his return here off a solid effort up to two miles in the Melbourne Cup. Doubt he quite stays that journey and he looked fairly sharp at the trials so 1400m could well be within range.
That said, heavy track form over further takes some trusting back to 1400m around here and on pacers like SOVEREIGN AWARD (9) and CROSSHAVEN (10) make plenty of appeal. Thought Sovereign Award was terrific through the spring and she can give them something to catch but it's Crosshaven that really appeals. Three-year-old won this on speed last year and Crosshaven was terrific in his two 1400m runs in the spring.
STREETS OF AVALON (5) won a Futurity around here and as good as ever winning the Australia Stakes last time. IMAGING (6) was less than a length away in the Winx and the George Main in the spring. That measures up.
