RACE 1 - 12:21PM Terry Howe Printing Handicap (1200 METRES)

IRONCLAD is a former European on debut in Australia for Will Clarken. He looked very good winning a recent Gawler trial. His two European wins were both at 2000m and he is sure to be benefit a lot form this but could be primed for a big first-up showing. LAKE'S FOLLY was a good winner on debut for Michael Hickmott before getting well back at Murray Bridge behind Second Slip, which is a proven formline. H made good ground from well back in the trial won by Ironclad at Gawler. HEYINGTON STATION was good at his SA debut when beaten by Calypso Reign and his Victorian form is good enough to give this a big shake. Stablemate AMBIDAZZLE has a good record here and comes out of the Second Slip race at Murray Bridge. BOLT I AM got a long way back and made ground behind May Be Fate at Gawker last time while ALSVIOR raced very well last campaign beating the likes of The Difference.

SELECTIONS: IRONCLAD, Lake's Folly, Heyington Station

RACE 2 - 12:56PM White Marquee Maiden Plate (1200 METRES)

SO BENE is a nice type of filly who looked smart when winning a recent Morphettville jump-out softly. She's a daughter of former smart filly Molto Bene and looks well placed for her debut. DAILY SPIRIT has had a few chances having been placed in six of seven starts behind some nice types like Zoushine, Outlaw's Revenge, Indian Gazelle and Echoes In Eternity at her past four. She draws out but will be in the finish. TURFITT draws a nice gate and caught the eye in a recent Gawler trial when she settled at the back and made good ground without ever getting out of second gear. MISS AMANAP was slow into stride in a recent Cranbourne jump-out before driving up to sit just behind the speed and wasn't beaten far. She clearly has some talent. LOTTIE'S THE BOSS jumped out OK at Murray Bridge recently and must be respected from the red-hot Michael Hickmott stable. MUFFLA won a recent Gawler trial and has shown some ability. POINT BLAZE was very good in the same trial after covering ground. He's run well in all three starts and draws the inside gate for the in-form Shayne Cahill stable.

SELECTIONS: SO BENE, Point Blaze, Daily Spirit

RACE 3 - 1:31PM Chalk Hill Handicap (1100 METRES)

IDIDITFORLOVE has won five of eight starts and looks nicely placed here. He was too good for Propelle last time at Sandown and he'll take some beating here. SIZZLEFLY has been solid at two runs back from a spell when runner-up behind Terbium and Can'tforgetyou, both of which are strong formlines for this. She has a good record this track and trip and looks a big danger. TEQUILA TIME stuck on well behind Mystyko at Murray Bridge and maps well from a nice gate here. OH MO returns here and has plenty of ability. His form last campaign was very good but he is winless from seven starts here.

SELECTIONS: IDIDITFORLOVE, Sizzlefly, Tequila Time

RACE 4 - 2:06PM TAB Adelaide Cup Day, Monday March 8 Handicap (1050 METRES)

Open and very competitive sprint. THE MOBOT has won four of nine and comes here on the back of a solid effort when third behind Lady Solly at Moonee Valley. He should ride the speed from barrier three and be right in the finish. DAMASCUS MOMENT was too good here when leading throughout to defeat Rose Tiara last time out. He should be close to the speed and must be given some thought on last time, although this is harder. TULLY'S GOLD should be around the mark in a race like this. CALL IT DAY trialled OK behind stablemate Ironclad at Gawler. His fresh record is OK and the claim brings him into this. BASTYAN comes to Adelaide with some mixed form in Melbourne, but Patrick Payne places his horse extremely well and there was early money for him. LITTLE RICH BOY draws out but has run well his past couple.

SELECTIONS: THE MOBOT, Call It A Day, Bastyan

RACE 5 - 2:41PM Soul Growers Handicap (1600 METRES)

Early tempo a big factor here. RITRATTO has a lethal record of four from four over the mile and he will make his own luck from the wide gate. The claim is a big bonus and he's won a trial for his return. If he gets a cheap lead he's the one to beat but there is speed inside him from the likes of CHAROSSA and FRANCE'S BOY. DEXTER YOU DEVIL is knocking on the door. He was good again at Murray Bridge behind Don'tdreamit'sover last time. He's got plenty of weight again but will be the horse hitting the line hard late. DUKE OF PLUMPTON looks nicely suited in a race like this, although back in trip on last time behind Takumi at Caulfield. He draws a nice gate and is right down in the weights. ANALYTICA was in great form before a break and finished second in the Balaklava Cup two runs back. He's drawn a sticky gate but the stable is ticking along nicely and he might be able to roll forward fresh and box seat.

SELECTIONS: DEXTER YOU DEVIL, Ritratto, Motell

RACE 6 - 3:16PM TAB Long May We Play Handicap (2040 METRES)

Three horses at the top of the market, MOTELL, MONTEFERRANTE and MASTER OF ZERPRISE, are all racing well, but OURKHANI could be the value here. His first-up run when third behind MOTELL was very good. He should strip a lot fitter for this and gets a good turnaround in the weights. MONTEFERRANTE was good behind Stan The Caddy and draws a good gate. MOTELL is going super but out to 2040m for the first time and drawn out. MASTER OF ZERPRISE is versatile. He was on speed when winning at Strathalbyn two back and then came from back in the field at Murray Bridge. He has a good barrier and you'd expect him to make his own luck here. EXALTED BEAST jumped from 1200m to 1800m to win at Clare, while HOBO BOB was strong winning at Murray Bridge last time.

SELECTIONS: OURKHANI, Monteferrante, Master Of Zerprise

RACE 7 - 3:56PM Holdfast Insurance Birthday Cup (2040 METRES)

MONGOLIAN MARSHAL was flying at the end of last prep running fourth in The Coongy at big odds before winning the Kyneton Cup and then flashing home behind Wentwood in the Werribee Cup. He has plenty of weight but looks terrific value each-way. FAROOQ is flying and he thrived out to the 2000m trip when a dominant Murray Bridge winner last time. He draws out and has racing room, which is key. He'll be in the finish again. DON'TDREAMIT'SOVER is a promising type who should appreciate getting out to the 2000m. He was strong when holding off rivals last time and should be in the mix. SIKORSKY comes off a solid effort behind Coolth. He will be on speed from a good gate. MEDIEVAL MISS was a good winner here last week over 1800m and will get a lovely run from the inside gate. SERIOUS SPENDER chased home Farooq last time and his form this time in has been good. DECLARES WAR won the Camperdown Cup last time out and his Victorian form is good enough to be prominent in a race like this from a good gate. EPERDUMENT was back to her best winning the Strathalbyn Cup on Sunday and is on the quick back-up.

SELECTIONS: MONGOLIAN MARSHAL, Farooq, Medieval Miss

RACE 8 - 4:36PM Adelaide Galvanising Handicap (1600 METRES)

GOOD GIRL BELLA was heavily backed at Stawell first-up from a spell to score and then followed that with a dominant seven-length win at Murray Bridge last time. She's come back in very good order and is impossible to knock. A repeat on her latest will win this. RESERVE STEET is down in class on recent racing. He chased home Declares War in the Camperdown Cup last time out and gets into this OK on the back of Jess Eton's claim. He's poorly dawn but is sure to give this a shake. CAFÉ TORTINI has a handy record and was a good Warrnambool winner two starts back. He looked like he was seeking a mile when finishing off strongly late last time at Pakenham. ZOULAH draws out but has been racing well and has claims. FAST PLAN has been good in two runs back from a spell but faces a tricky wide gate. UNDERSTATEMENT has been favourite at both starts in SA, wasn't beaten far last time and must be kept safe right down in the weights.

SELECTIONS: GOOD GIRL BELLA, Reserve Street, Café Tortini

RACE 9 - 5:16PM Furphy Handicap (1200 METRES)

PINDARIC is unbeaten in three starts and looked good winning at Murray Bridge first-up from a spell. He has plenty of weight but also plenty of upside and class, and must be the top tip. MIDNIGHT STORM has a handy record and is first-up for Leon Macdonald and Andrew Gluyas here. He chased home The Difference before a break and has run some very good races fresh, so keep an eye on betting. FOUR OF A KIND was a good Gawler winner two starts back and wasn't far away as favourite there last time. She'll get a good run and is right down in the weights. Stablemate DONE BY ME was never in the race last time when heavily backed at Murray Bridge. She does have a good record here and is over the odds. OCEAN'S REWARD has good Victorian for a race like this. ALL IN WAR has been close up at two runs in SA for the Balfour camp, while LADY PAVLI CHENKO is ticking along well.

SELECTIONS: PINDARIC, Midnight Storm, Done By Me
