Victorian trainer Archie Alexander has identified the race as a target for comeback mare Mosh Music, who is set to run favourite in tonight's $150,000 Listed Torney Night Cup (2500m) at Moonee Valley.

The six-year-old was impressive coming off the speed to defeat subsequent Hobart Cup winner Double You Tee at Sandown last month at just her second run back from more than a year on the sidelines.

She's marked a $3.90 Torney Cup favourite with tab.com.au.

Mosh Music is to be ridden by Jordan Childs, who may also have the option to ride another impressive last-start Melbourne winner, Long Arm, in the two-mile feature in Adelaide.

Trained by Peter Gelagotis at Moe, Long Arm is expected to be among nominations for next week's $122,250 Group 3 Lord Reims over 2600m at Morphettville.

Long Arm is an interesting horse. He has had just six starts and boasts four wins, two of them since landing in Australia last year.

He won at Flemington first-up over a mile, was beaten 2.3 lengths behind Coolth at his second Australian start, before a gritty win at Caulfield over 2400m last time out.

Early Lord Reims nominations include Jukila from the Michelle Payne stable, while Richard and Michael Freedman have Mushaireb entered.

Jukila is a Warrnambool winner over 3100m and finished seventh in the Jericho Cup there back in November.

Another possible Cup runner is Wellington Cup winner Waisake, with his trainer Allan Sharrock leading towards an Australian campaign rather than a tilt at the Auckland Cup.

Adelaide Cup nominations close at 12 noon on Tuesday, February 25.
