2021 NEWMARKET HANDICAP – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS

Strong early tempo assured with the big field chasing a rich and famous prize down the straight six. SEPTEMBER RUN (14) looked a Newmarket winner in the making when landing the Coolmore here in the spring and she only strengthened her grip on the race with her return in the Lighting. She was terrific late there, running fast late splits behind a star sprinter, and the return to 1200m is ideal for her now. She's clearly the one to beat.

SWATS THAT (18) has been no match for her at her latest couple but she meets her on better terms now and she can also come right on for the Lightning run where she ran well. PRAGUE (17) ran well after being left with plenty to do first up and looks a potential spoiler at odds. CELEBRITY QUEEN (5) must be respected off her shared win in the Oakleigh Plate and IMAGING (3) is an interesting runner back to 1200m off a good run in the Orr.
