Travis Doudle hopes Monday’s Morphettville Guineas win with Struck By could be the start of a big few months for his Morphettville stable.

One of exciting group of young Adelaide trainers, Doudle has a strong hand at Morphettville on the Parks track this weekend including a couple of promising two-year-olds in Princess Raffles and Brother's Shadow.

Brother's Shadow was impressive winning at Gawler on debut, while Princess Raffles caught the eye in the Magic Millions SA 2YO Classic at Murray Bridge last time out.

"I'm pretty happy with both of them," Doudle said.

"Princess Raffles obviously ran really well in the Magic Millions race, running third, while the other bloke has had the one start for the one win, and has jumped out really well since.

"I think Princess Raffles is looking for a trip so the Parks might not suit her, but there might be a couple of nice races later in her campaign for her," he said.

Double also has his eyes on some staying races with Casino Seventeen, who toyed with rivals back in class first-up from a spell when winning at Balaklava.

"We expected him to go there and win," Doudle said.

"Saturday, he goes up in weight and there are a couple of handy ones in it. It's not a big field (and) he's got a tricky gate, but he's on a path towards the (Group 3) Chairman's Stakes."

Mr Pocket is another horse Doudle has a good opinion of, but he's opted to bypass Moonee Valley on Saturday as he progresses towards a South Australian Derby campaign.

Mr Pocket started his career in Sydney with Bjorn Baker and hasn't raced since winning his maiden at Gawler by 5.3 lengths back in November.

Doudle said there was a nice race for him in Adelaide next weekend, while long-term he hopes to head towards the VRC St Leger before coming home to the Derby at Morphettville in May.

"He's on a Derby path so I'm just trying to get a few miles in his legs,'' Doudle said.

"He'll most likely be set to the St Leger and then back up in Derby two weeks later," he said.

Doudle said he was a horse who gave every indication he would make a smart stayer.

"He's pretty talented, the way he works up the forest," he said.

"His lung capacity is huge, so I am confident he'll stay well."
