The grand prize as part of VIP Rewards during the Ladbrokes Tasmanian Summer of Racing has been decided with the lucky winner of the $7,000 Luxury Tassie Holiday VIP Experience being Brad from Perth, WA.

Originally from Tasmania, a sporting career has taken Brad far away from the Apple Isle, but he returned during the summer, attending the Ladbrokes Devonport Cup.

"I came home for three weeks across Christmas and I bought 10 tickets to the Devonport Cup to shout my brother, partner and a few others," said an excited Brad who provided Tasracing with proof of purchase for his YRT tickets and redeemed the points for entries into the Luxury Holiday Competition.

A new edition to the Ladbrokes Summer of Racing for 2020/21, Brad said that VIP Rewards provided a great way to encourage people to be involved in the peak period for Tasmanian racing.

"My partner ended up being runner-up in the fashions on the field in the marquee we were in.

"It was good having the online portal (summerofracing.com.au) to be able to redeem stuff. I nearly did redeem the points for wine and other things but decided to have a crack at the main prize."

Brad and his partner will now come back to Tasmania and enjoy a luxury experience at Barnbougle Dunes on the state's north-east coast, though Brad says his golf game leaves a bit to be desired.

"I've never been that good, being an ex-footballer, I usually just try and hit the dimples off it and slice it shockingly," laughed Brad.
