Winning Trainer: Joseph Pride
On expectations for today: "He's a really special horse. I brought him here today and you wondered what could go wrong because you know you've got the horse on song, but there's the variables of the weight and the way the track was playing. What I like about Nash (Rawiller), I just said to Nash 'I'm not going to tell you what to do mate' and he was confident he said 'I'll find the fence and I'll just take care of it'. He was confident, he knew what he needed to do and he did it."
On Eduardo: "The horse is a very good horse. He's made a statement today, he made it the other day actually but it was a statement not taken up by all. Wow, that was an amazing win and there's better ahead of this horse there's no doubt about that."
On heading to the TJ Smith next: "Yes, for sure."
On long term plans for The Everest: "It's a shame what happened in The Everest last year and I don't want to revisit that. Nash won't jump off again I don't think. He told me he wouldn't anyway so I'd be surprised if he jumped off after that."
On where Eduardo rates with his top horses he's trained: He hasn't hit his top yet. Terravista is the best horse I've ever trained. His acceleration was absolutely amazing. This horse is probably second at this stage but he might get there."
Winning Jockey: Nash Rawiller
On Joe Pride: "God bless Joe. He does a magnificent job with sprinters, anyone who follows Sydney racing would know that.
"He's done some amazing things with not only second hand sprinters but also the ones he's brought on from yearlings. This bloke's no exception, he's just taken him to a new level.
"He's the sort of horse I'm sure the connections knew he had this ability at a young age but there's no better at getting an older horse and getting it to hit the target.
On the horse: "He's a jet. He jumped good and there was obviously plenty of pace inside us but he jumps into his rhythm so much he bluffed them out of trying to lead us.
"He loves following the fence and I saw the ground is still okay right on it. He's just a machine and he was too good.
On another Everest bid: "He'll be in it (again this) year. A hundred percent he'll be a genuine contender. He's come back a better horse this season and he feels like to me he will only get better.
Beaten Jockeys:
Tommy Berry (Dirty Work): "Bad gate and we had to go back to last but he's flown home for fourth."
Brenton Avdulla (Fabergino): "She didn't go at all. She got very upset pre-race and that was it."
James McDonald (Haut Brion Her): "Nice return."
Jade Darose (Jungle Edge): "Track has dried out and we drew a bit awkward. Travelled good but couldn't quicken with the track firmish."
Craig Williams (Order Of Command): "Really impressed with his performance. It was the deepest race he's been in. Danny O'Brien's stable was very confident of his performance coming up here today. The barrier was a disadvantage but he closed off well in a real tough G1."
Andrew Adkins (Easy Eddie): "Beautiful run in transit. I thought he ran a huge race."
Tim Clark (Jonker): "He was really brave and ran really well."
Robbie Dolan (Splintex): "No luck from the gate."
Glen Boss (Bella Vella): "I was never in a position to win the race."
Kathy O'Hara (Fiesta): "Honest effort. Probably just lacks that G1 class."
Rachel King (Tailleur): "Good run. Probably just dried out a little too much for her."
Kerrin McEvoy (Wild Ruler): "Ran nicely. He was back further than we thought he might be think he is better on top of the ground."
Stephanie Thornton (The Odyssey): "A bit too quick for him today."
