In a dream start to her career, Annabel Neasham has joined the ranks of Group One-winning trainers less than a year after opening a Sydney stable.

Neasham, backed by the Fung family's racing operation Aquis, found herself in the autumn carnival spotlight when Mo'unga landed the Rosehill Guineas over 2000m on Saturday.

Mo'Unga made up for a luckless Randwick Guineas defeat with a narrow win as the $2.90 favourite under jockey Tommy Berry.

The three-year-old had a long head to spare over Sky Lab ($13) with ATC Australian Oaks hopeful Montefilia ($7) taking the minor placing.

"I just can't thank the Fung family enough. It's just unreal that they've given me an opportunity with horses like this," Neasham said.

Mo'unga joined Neasham for the autumn after starting his career with leading trainer Chris Waller.

The colt is now favourite to win the $2 million ATC Australian Derby at Randwick on April 10 but Neasham is keeping an open mind on a start in one of Australia's oldest Classics.

She has the option of dropping her stable star in distance to contest the $3 million Doncaster Mile on the same day.

"I don't know. We'll enjoy this one and we'll work that out next week," she said.

Think. Is this a bet you really want to place?
