We start to see some very nice horses heading to Adelaide for the carnival.

One of those is Steinem, for the flying Maher/Eustace team, who runs in the G3 Auraria Stakes.

This filly is a Frankel who probably would get to an Oaks trip in time and has looked good twice now.

She won OK on debut when a drifter in the betting and then thrashed a city midweek field coming from near last.

You would suspect this and the Australasian Oaks are real target races for her with a view to even better in the Spring.

Admittedly she has the outside draw but they'll let her drop out and Jye McNeil will swoop her into the race on the corner.

This race has a big tail so she might just round them up with ease.

In the G3 RN Irwin Stakes after, a few nice sprinters run but none as genuine as Kemalpasa.

He had a great Spring ending in a win during Cup week again and then backed it up at Sandown.

Resuming for the Autumn he ran into the monster that was Behemoth in the Durbridge and was excellent into third in the Oakleigh Plate.

Look for him to take most of the luck out of the race by leading or nearby and then grinding them down.

Hey Doc needs to find his best and the mares will come on late down the outside but could be giving away too much ground.
