Winning Trainer: Robert & Luke Price (Robert Price comments)
On the filly: "She has always shown us good ability, natural ability early. She was a natural two-year-old."
On Luke Price and Brock Ryan preparing her: "It's a real credit to Luke as he rides this filly every day. Also to young Brock (Ryan) who is home with a broken leg. He has been heavily involved and it's disappointing he couldn't be on her today, but I wish him all the best at home."
On winning at good odds: "I haven't had a bet for three years but I had a bet today, I couldn't see her getting beaten."
Winning Jockey: Tommy Berry
On the win: "She was brilliant. I rode her a week before the Slipper and she gave me a lovely feel but was very hot and above herself in the yard which is unlike her. It just sort of showed that she was looking for a bit of a let up. Full credit to the team, they could have gone to the Slipper but they decided to wait, give her a little bit of a break, I'm just rapt for them."
On the filly: "I went down and trialled her a week and a half ago. I just really like this filly. There was something about her. She has a great attitude. I learned a lot about her when I rode her. I knew she'd have a good turn of foot but it's only short lived."
Beaten Jockeys:
James McDonald (Najmaty): "Has come to the end of it."
Jason Collett (Crystal Bound): "Just greenness really that beat her."
Glen Boss (Testimonial): "Not up to that grade."
Rachel King (Trifaccia): "A little bit disappointing. First time racing in the ear muffs on so maybe just a bit flat."
Craig Williams (Centro Storico): "She had the blinkers on first time. She is a lovely filly, a stakes type of filly. Showed immaturity throughout the race, over-raced a bit and not able to hold a position. Last bit of her race was excellent."
Kerrin McEvoy (Joyous Legend): "Good run. She ran a bit green up the running. Has got potential to keep improving. Has a lot of strengthening up to do."
Tim Clark (A Very Fine Red): "She ran super. Did a great job."
Brenton Avdulla (Yearning): "She ran well. Still obviously learning her craft. With a bit of luck she goes close."
