Tyche Goddess got under the guard of punters with her Australasian Oaks lead-up victory and Trent Busuttin believes she is a forgotten filly in the Group 1 contest at Morphettville

A winner of the Group 3 Auraria Stakes (1800m) at Morphettville on April 17, Tyche Goddess returns to that track on Saturday chasing a maiden Group 1 win.

Tyche Goddess was a $41 winner of the Auraria and when asked if the filly was a forgotten runner in Saturday's race, Busuttin, trains in partnership with Natalie Young, said "I think so".

"When they win at big odds people think it's a fluke," Busuttin said.

"There's no doubt Steinem, with the right run, probably wins the race and is probably a deserved favourite, but our filly has done nothing wrong.

"She's run third in a Wakeful and ran in the Victoria Oaks at a breakneck speed and wasn't really given a chance the way the race was run.

"She was very good first-up and second up drew out wide and went back to last, in a slowly run race, and hit the line OK.

"So, we went over to Adelaide knowing she would run well and what was a surprise was the odds."

Tyche Goddess returned to the Cranbourne stables of Busuttin and Young and has trained on well since her last start win.

This time around there are no $41 odds on offer with the filly being specked from $26 to $19 with TAB.

"She's drawn to run well and she should run well," Busuttin said.

"Luke Currie should have her up in the first six and she goes into the race with no issues.

It's genuine Group 1 field, but all that we can do is worry about our filly and she is ready to run well and I would be disappointed if she doesn't weigh in."
