Nash Rawiller is free to ride Eduardo in the Doomben 10,000 despite being suspended for careless riding at Hawkesbury.

Racing NSW chief steward Marc Van Gestel has warned Nash Rawiller to work on his riding after the top jockey returned from one suspension only to be hit with another. 

Rawiller was forced to sit out the Tancred Stakes meeting at Rosehill and both days of The Championships at Randwick after incurring two separate careless riding charges on Golden Slipper day. 

The Hawkesbury stand-alone program was his first Saturday meeting back in the saddle since March 27 and he was straight to the fore with a winning double, highlighted by the Group 3 Hawkesbury Crown on Sweet Deal. 

But his afternoon soured in the stewards room when he again came under scrutiny for careless riding aboard Vitesse in the final race and was slapped with what Van Gestel pointed out was Rawiller's seventh such penalty in 12 months. 

"Your record is starting to become a little concerning," Van Gestel said. 

"Your suspensions are starting to creep up again and you're going to have to start working on it." 

However, stewards showed some leniency to the hoop in issuing a three-meeting ban. 

It means Rawiller can ride at the Hollindale Stakes meeting in Brisbane next week and will return in time to reunite with exciting sprinter Eduardo in the Group 1 Doomben 10,000 on May 15. 

Sam Clipperton was also suspended and fined $2000 for his winning ride on Exoboom over the final stages of the Hawkesbury Guineas. 

His penalty starts next Sunday and expires on May 23.
