2021 KEN RUSSELL MEMORIAL CLASSIC – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS

Scorching tempo from Debussy and Dovetail Diva showing out but with plenty of pressure from other quarters. RANCH HAND (4) resumes after four months. Showed ability at the maiden campaign, winning on debut in Sydney and placing at Eagle Farm before a fifth in the Magic Millions in his last appearance at this track in January. Likely to have developed further with maturity and looks ready to go fresh off a trial win.

MISTER LARRABEE (7) improved plenty at his second start, racing away to score by 4.5L at Sunshine Coast. Confidence boosting win there and could take another step up. CORK HARBOUR (6) led throughout to win at Canterbury when resuming. That was just his second start so has scope for improvement in both fitness and experience. BABY WONG (2) is another fresh winner and while this is stronger he does look to have upside. DEBUSSY (5) led throughout to win at Eagle Farm on debut and could go on with it.
