2021 DOOMBEN CUP – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS

Nothing to run them along so it might be a trot and canter. ZAAKI (5) has improved with each run in his first Australian campaign and was impressive in winning the Hollindale at Gold Coast by 2.3L last time. That is a traditional lead up to this race and he should be reaching his peak fourth up. Looks tough to stop.

MUGATOO (2) has had a month off since the Sydney carnival where he was beaten less than two lengths in both the Queen Elizabeth and Doncaster. Kept up to the mark with a trial and if he reproduces his effort in winning the All Star Mile three back he is a threat.

SIR DRAGONET (1) finished just in front of Mugatoo in the Queen Elizabeth and was a G1 winner of the Tancred before that. Drawn to get the favours and is a Cox Plate winner over a similar trip. Contender. SHARED AMBITION (7) goes forward and can give a sight off a Hollindale placing while FIFTY STARS (3) finished in front of him when runner up in the Hollindale. Must include.
