"He gave me a lovely feel at Echuca (when he rode him at his first start) and every time I've sat on him he's given me a nice feel.

"He's one that you don't really want to hustle and bustle early because he can slightly overdo it but if he can find a nice rhythm then he's got a massive turn-of-foot like he showed today.

"I got to the outside, I didn't want to be as wide as we were today. They generally aerate out that wide and it actually took a little while to find our top gear. The last hundred metres he was very good.

"He can be slightly difficult - you might have seen before the start and when trying to take the saddle off just then - he's doing a few things wrong but still heading in the right direction."
