Kris Lees will have weight of numbers on his side when he saddles up three of the 10 runners in the Fujitsu General Handicap at Randwick on Saturday.

The Novacastrian trainer will start top weight Tactical Advantage, Takeover Target Stakes winner Enchanted Heart and smart mare Wandabaa and he is struggling to split his trio.

Tactical Advantage showed he retained a zest for racing with some solid performances over the summer, highlighted by a closing fourth in The Hunter at Newcastle and a stakes placing behind Athiri at Randwick.

The seven-year-old has undergone minor eye surgery since his midfield effort in the Falvelon Quality at Eagle Farm on Boxing Day and is a capable performer fresh.

Enchanted Heart and Wandabaa will have the advantage of recent racing, the former breaking through for her first black-type win at Gosford last start while Wandabaa has followed consecutive placings in Group races over the autumn with a sixth in the Hawkesbury Crown.

"There's not much between the two mares at all. There wouldn't be much between the three of them, I'd have to say," Lees said.

"I'd take a trifecta."

The deciding factor could be track conditions on the day as both Enchanted Heart and Wandabaa enjoy rain-affected ground while Tactical Advantage is at his best on firmer surfaces.

TAB fixed odds had Wandabaa the pick of Lees' trio on Friday at $5.50, ahead of Enchanted Heart ($6) and Tactical Advantage ($26).

Wagga Town Plate winner Marway remains a clear-cut favourite at $2.70.
