A gallop at Pakenham will determine if Invincible Caviar will make her debut this weekend.

A daughter of champion unbeaten mare Black Caviar, Invincible Caviar has been entered for a two-year-old fillies race over 1100m at Flemington and a two-year-old maiden over 1000m at Bendigo on Saturday.

Invincible Caviar is the fifth foal of Black Caviar, but is the first to be trained by Peter Moody who also prepared the champion mare.

"We'll have a look after her work tomorrow morning and then start putting plans in place," Moody told RSN.

"She'll be running wherever the track is firmest as well.

"One thing we seem to have learned in the last few weeks is she appreciates being on top of the ground."

Of Black Caviar's previous foals to race, only Oscietra and Prince Of Caviar have been successful, however Invincible Caviar, a daughter of I Am Invincible, has been showing promising signs in jump-outs at Pakenham.

Moody said there was a chance last Saturday's Caulfield winner Riot And Rose could back-up over 2000m at Flemington on Saturday.

Riot And Rose was successful over 1600m and Moody said he would monitor the three-year-old during the week before deciding if he will take his place.

"There's a chance he might back-up in a mile-and-a-quarter three-year-old race on Saturday and then he probably goes for a rest if I choose that path," Moody said.

"I want to give him a spell and let him furnish and develop a bit after his first racing prep and maybe get him back for the backend of spring and for the summer.

"He's got plenty of learning to do and that's why I would give him one more run to hopefully complete the education, get a bit of smarts about him and get his rating up a bit more."
