Jenny Graham may have another star on her hands as Nicci Trix aims to book her spot in The Kosciuszko with a win in the TAB Highway (1100m) on Saturday.

The three-year-old has only finished outside of the placings once, when she finished fourth on debut.

The daughter of Nicconi has won at Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour and most recently at Taree, blowing the field away on a heavy track to win by 2.5 lengths.

Graham knew she had a good one on her hands early, with the $1.3 million The Kosciuszko in her sights for Nicci Trix.

"I certainly am looking towards the Kosciuszko. That's one of my targets for her," she said.

"She's always shown us quite a lot of ability.

"It was a great win. She finished it off lovely, had a really good turn of foot and handled the conditions very well.

"We were always thinking of heading towards a Highway race, providing she came through her last run well."

Nicci Trix could be following in the footsteps of stablemate and Group 2 winner Victorem, who has featured in two The Kosciuszko's.

Victorem is spending winter in Queensland, where he is targeting the Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap (1400m).

The six-year-old was part of a messy finish at the end of the Group 1 Kingsford-Smith Cup last Saturday, finishing fifth and was only beaten a length.

Port Macquarie based Graham said the son of I Am Invincible is on target to tackle the Group 1 feature if he can secure a spot in the field.

"He's pulled up really well. He's heading towards the Stradbroke hopefully, if we can make a spot," she said.

"He unfortunately got held up, but when he did get through, he finished off the race very well."

Victorem has shortened from $26 into $21 after Saturday's run for the Stradbroke Handicap with tab.com.au.
