The Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott -trained Knights Order ($4.80) has brought up his second Australian stakes win with a dominant victory in the Listed Winter Cup at Rosehill.

The So You Think progeny was strong on the line at the end of 2400 metres beating Parry Sound ($4.80) by 1-3/4 lengths with Stockman ($3.20F) a further head away in third.

The six-year-old gelding is building up a handy strike rate with six wins from 16 outings with this being his second win from seven Australian starts.

The Group 2 Brisbane Cup over 3200 metres beckons at Eagle Farm next Saturday and co-trainer Gai Waterhouse sees no reason why he cannot go on with it and compete at a higher level.

"The horse will stay all day so there's no problem with him going straight to the 3200 metres," Waterhouse said.

"We will look at the Brisbane Cup next week.

"I will talk with Adrian (Bott) and we will make a decision over the next couple of days.

"He is a joy to behold. He has really hit his hopples."

Knights Order was given a peach of a ride by jockey Tim Clark who rated him to perfection over the staying trip.

"I thought the pace was lovely throughout," Clark said.

"Tommy (Berry on Inverloch) used his mount early but I didn't think he backed off too much. It just allowed me to get into a lovely rhythm.

"At the 650 metres I came out from in behind him and he dragged me into the straight and I thought he won really nicely and he'll definitely go on with it from here."
