James Cummings has confirmed the Golden Rose as a likely short-term target for exciting colt Anamoe, who is expected to be among Godolphin's major flagbearers in the spring.

An unlucky second to Stay Inside from an outside gate in the Golden Slipper, Anamoe created a big impression when he atoned with an emphatic victory in the Group 1 Sires' Produce Stakes

Cummings said the son of Street Boss had already begun a slow and steady build up to the spring.

"He is back in light training and we're keeping him nice and warm," Cummings said.

"I think we will be running him first-up in September.

"He is a last-start winner of the Sires' Produce and he's got a very exciting amount of acceleration.

"He's got plenty of energy left from his two-year-old campaign and we're well and truly looking forward to seeing what he can produce as a classic three-year-old."

Cummings confirmed the Golden Rose would be Anamoe's immediate goal and any thoughts of a tilt at the Everest would wait until after he contested the Rosehill feature.

The colt will headline a quality group of rising three-year-olds for Godolphin, which will also have the likes of Group 3 winner Paulele and Golden Slipper third placegetter Ingratiating aiming up at the better races.

"Other good two-year-olds that are just in light work and will probably race somewhere around August are horses like Paulele, Ingratiating. We look forward to having them back," Cummings said.

However, Godolphin are not done chasing Group 1 victories this season with confirmation Savatiano will press on to the Tattersall's Tiara (1400m) at Eagle Farm later this month.

The mare has been kept on ice since finishing midfield behind Vega One in the Kingsford-Smith Cup at Eagle Farm last month.

"We're not quite done with the preparation of Savatiano yet. She is quite likely to run in the Tatt's Tiara in a couple of weeks," Cummings said.
