South Australian sprinter Gytrash will get another shot at winning The Everest after being announced as the runner for the slot held by Inglis.

The Gordon Richards-trained gelding represented the sales company in the race 12 months ago, finishing a fine third to Classique Legend, and Inglis managing director Mark Webster was happy to renew the association.

"We were thrilled to team up with Gytrash last year and of course he did the company proud running third and winning the Yes Yes Yes Stakes shortly after The Everest," Webster said.

"We really do believe there's unfinished business with this horse. He has remarkable ability. He has now placed top three 22 times out of 24 starts."

Gytrash has raced twice this year finishing third in The Goodwood at Morphettville in May before an unplaced effort in the Kingsford-Smith Cup at Eagle Farm when he had little luck and was beaten less than three lengths.

Richards said the five-year-old was currently spelling and would begin pre-training on July 1.

"I just hope we can go a couple better than last year," Richards said.

Gytrash is the fourth horse confirmed for a place in this year's Everest, joining Nature Strip, Masked Crusader and Lost And Running, while defending champion Classique Legend is expected to be chosen for the slot held by his owner Bon Ho
